Envisioning A World We Want

Years ago I made a bumper sticker of a phrase I invented:  “Happy Labias = World Peace.” Hundreds are circulating around the United States. This statement is not a joke or actually light-hearted. It’s a visionary phrase.

If/when women and other people can move in the world without fear of violence, their energies would be free to create the kind of world we can all live in. Of course, if the world evolved to the place where there is no personal violence, we will have already have arrived at that world.

I suppose it’s more of an exercise in imagining a world where:

  • It’s 3:00 AM and you can’t sleep, so you go take a walk in your neighborhood
  • You park your car in a parking garage with impunity
  • You walk downtown as the sun is setting and you know you’re safe
  • You can leave your first floor bedroom window open on a hot night, or any night, to breathe fresh air

A global shift in consciousness will occur when everyone knows they’re connected to everyone else, and their hearts release into joy. Thoughts create reality when action is employed. We can’t have a world free of violence if we can’t envision it. Our belief in this inherent connection helps bring it to fruition.

I’m awake at 1:00 AM and I can’t sleep. I go outside to walk my neighborhood so I can tire myself out. The Moon is nearly full and lights my way between the street lights. I have no fear because the world has awoken, and everyone knows we’re all connected and we want the best for each other. People face their fears and heal their generational trauma. We know we need each other, and we reach out to a friend whenever we need to share our grief to heal.

When we cultivate joy and gratitude, more happiness results. This equals greater chance of human survival, and this equals World Peace. We know that each action, accomplishment, and creation starts with a thought, an idea. Our thoughts create our reality, literally. The world we want will not happen until and unless we envision it.

I gather with others who are envisioning and living the world we want to live in. We are choosing to live in love, joy, gratitude and rest. We’re leaving grind culture behind. We know we need each other, and we joyfully gather together.
