“Labia Lady”

Last Saturday I ventured into the world of craft bazaars and had a table at Hip Happenings. I brought my artist statement, that a fair number of women read. Most men hesitated to stop at my table, though obviously curious. A couple women pruned up reading my statement, but the vast majority thought it a worthwhile sentiment: Happy Labias = World Peace. Finally, near the end of the show, a woman came to the table raving about the labias, and bought one as a present for her mother! (This one pictured here.)  Love that.  She then walked over to another vendor and must have unpacked the piece to show her, because the vendor came over (the woman who makes journals out of record album covers) and asked if I was the “labia lady”? “Yes I am” was my reply. The birth of a new nomenclature. The sale was of one of the newest pieces that I really loved. I’ll upload one of the other new ones today.
